This seemingly simple problem has not had a real effective solution until today, because point sound source speakers radiate sound with spherical waves, and when two or more speakers are combined together, they will interfere with each other and form cancellations at different frequencies. The original flat frequency response becomes bumpy and undulating, and varies with different listening positions, which seriously reduces the sound quality and cannot achieve the expected value of 1+1=2.

It is not a good solution to increase the sound pressure output by combining multiple point source speakers!

Even if it is a single point sound source speaker, although there is no problem of mutual interference, due to its too wide and irregular sound radiation characteristics, it produces sound scattering in the vertical direction that exceeds our expected range, which leads to the sound energy generated by the speaker not being fully projected To the audience area, and there are quite a lot of sound scattered to the ceiling and the ground, as well as the side walls, which we do not want to project to, which will generate a lot of reflections from all sides, disturb the audience area, and reduce the sound Cla rity.

Solutions

We can fix this with better sound system design.

Use line array speakers with constant directivity to form a vertical array as long as possible to form a very narrow vertical sound beam. The more speakers (the longer the array), the narrower the vertical sound beam, the more concentrated the sound projection, and the vertical sound field. The better the control, the more the sound scattered to the ceiling and the ground can be greatly reduced, the interference of reflected sound can be reduced, the Cla rity of the sound can be maximized, and the sound can be projected to the audience area more.

Obviously, from a technical point of view, the application of a line array system can improve the efficiency and sound clarity of sound reinforcement, but from an economic point of view, this will bring about budgetary cost problems, but small venues usually do not need Too much system power, therefore, reducing the cost of a single speaker by reducing the individual power specifications of the line array speakers can balance the system quality and the total cost.

The FC-82 consists of two rubber-rimmed 8" cone low-frequency drivers, a 2.5' voice coil neodymium compression high-frequency driver, connected to a wave converter that has undergone precise acoustic path correction, and the tweeter and bass drivers are combined in a coaxial structure Installation, built-in crossover network with phase optimization design, forming a horizontal 80-degree constant directional cylindrical radiation wave, supporting a special DSP control program to achieve the best acoustic performance.
